Essentials: I’m an Evansville native with stints in Southern Illinois growing up, Tulsa OK for school and Lexington Ky for almost school that never happened. Christ follower since 19 years old with a classic: "drug head turned Jesus freak" story. I was a staff pastor with a local church for 15 years before planting One Life church on 10-10-10.
The school was Oral Roberts University. I like watching people's reactions to that.
I’ve been married to Krista for 32 years. We have 3 grown kids: Madison 25, Morgan 22 and Isaac 18.
Better yet, we are having a blast being grandparents of two-year-old Judah and six-week-old Hendrix.
Why I love Uncharted: It’s always been a labor of love. UC represents a very deep passion and core conviction about the absolute non-negotiable importance of global missions for local churches. I love that it is living on and is now experiencing a new day with new leadership.
Other stuff: I love Jesus, theology, philosophy, apologetics, history, road-trips, documentaries and power trios. I’m a mountain person over a beach person (unless it’s the coast of Maine).
I’m a Beatlemaniac and secretly miss playing in a band. I love reading and am bummed that there are so many books and so little time. My favorite book really IS the Bible, but “Orthodoxy” by G.K. Chesterton is the book I wish I’d written. If time were unlimited, I’d be a film director and music producer on the side.
