Uncharted started in the hearts and minds of some very mission-minded, globally-focused individuals at a church in Evansville, IN. It quickly began to embrace other churches and expand its reach to more places in the world. Several years ago, it became clear it was time for Uncharted to become it's own movement and organization and have the freedom to work more nimbly. A 501(c)3 was started, and since then, Uncharted has been discovering more clearly who it is and why it exists. In short, Uncharted is a mission movement that promotes a lifestyle brand. The primary focus of Uncharted is to advance the gospel in unreached / unengaged people groups, as well as, help people go farther in their faith.
What we do
Through our Communities, we help identify and equip local faith leaders for the purpose of planting churches and providing human aid. In addition, we provide opportunities for people to engage in cross-cultural experiences whether it's short term (Trips), mid-term (Internships) or longer-term (Residencies).
Our Field Notes provide different opportunities for people to explore their faith. Whether it's through the Journal, Films or other opportunities, we hope to provide moments for people where their faith is provoked, challenged, encouraged and refined.
Our Sponsorships give meaningful and accessible ways for people to be part of Kingdom work, literally changing the lives and futures of children and individuals all over the world. These sponsorships allow the ministry and work of Uncharted to move forward in sustainable and healthy ways.
The Uncharted Shop supports brave women from our different Communities, providing sustainable income through the sale of our fair-trade items. Read more about our artisan friends and their stories:
